About Me

I have many years of experience in the data processing industry as an operator, administrator, systems programmer and technical support engineer.  Several years ago, after mobile phone devices such as the Apple iPhone had been eagerly accepted into many people’s lives, I was given the task to learn, implement and maintain a mobile email product which ran on these devices and also stayed in sync with our primary email product.   With my success of these endeavors, the growth and capabilities of mobile device products and my interest in these products and pursuing application development, I have become a new iOS developer and am eager to apply and grow my newly learned skills.  I’m currently available and open to relocation as well as remote work.

The Quick-ToDo app utilizes several Xcode and Swift skills including object oriented programming, API methods utilizing the Firebase Baas platform, app extension and customization, UIKit fundamentals as well as adaptive UI layout via split view controller and Git version control.

As a clean, simple and stable app, it allows one to quickly create a parent to-do list and then, if desired, create children tasks associated with that list and provide a due date for each task.  Any task with an assigned due date of today’s date, will then also appear in the widget screen or when pressing and holding the app icon on the screen.  All lists and tasks can be modified by tapping the edit button on each respective screen to then allow deleting,  changing the name and/or date and moving the item to change order appearance.  The backend database platform allows the data to remain current and synchronized whether one uses the app on the iPhone or iPad.
